Security in Best Practice Mobile

Best Practice Mobile has multiple account security features, designed to keep your data safe.

Daily logins with password and two-factor authentication

When you log into Best Practice Mobile for the first time you will be prompted to enter your user name (email address), password, and the verification code sent to the mobile phone you registered with.

After manually signing out of Best Practice Mobile you will be required to enter your password and complete two-factor authentication to log in again.

Quick access login via biometrics

When accessing Best Practice Mobile for the first time you will be prompted to configure optional biometrics such as fingerprint or face ID for quick log in access during the day.

Biometrics settings can be updated at any time from the Settings menu under Security > Sign-in Preferences.

The biometric login to access Best Practice Mobile will be reset:

  • When you manually log out of Best Practice Mobile from Menu > Sign out.
  • If the Best Practice Mobile app is reinstalled on your device.
  • If you have not entered your password or completed two-factor authentication for 14 days.

Inactivity timeouts

Your Best Practice Mobile login session will time-out and log off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. This setting is enabled by default to support compliance with modern health security standards.

The time-out period can be updated to 10 minutes or 5 minutes from the Settings menu in the Best Practice Mobile app.

Lost or stolen devices

If a device with the Best Practice Mobile app installed is lost or stolen, contact Best Practice Software Support for assistance. All users will be signed out on all devices and any active sessions will be ended.

Secure camera access

Clinical images taken using the Best Practice Mobile app are sent directly to your Bp Premier database. Images are not saved to your mobile device's Camera roll.
