Connect Lyrebird Scribe to Bp Premier

This article describes how to connect your Lyrebird Scribe account to Bp Premier.

Get started with Lyrebird Scribe

To connect Bp Premier with Lyrebird Scribe:

  • Ensure Bp Premier version Orchid Service Pack 2 or later is installed on the server and all workstations.
  • Approve Lyrebird Health as a third-party integration in Setup > Configuration > Database > Setup third-party integrations. See Setup third-party integrations for more information.
  • The Lyrebird Scribe button will be visible in Setup > Users > Edit for users with Add/Edit/Delete or Add/Edit user permissions for Clinical Notes.
  • To connect Lyrebird Scribe to Bp Premier, each provider must first create an account with Lyrebird Health. With the August 2025 Data Update, Bp Premier automatically generates an API key for each user which Lyrebird validates and uses to create an account.

Creating an Account for Lyrebird Scribe from within Bp Premier:

  1. Bp Premier generates an API key and assigns it to the user.

  2. When Lyrebird is launched from the Patient Record, Lyrebird validates the API key and other user details.

  3. If the user does not already have a Lyrebird account, the Create your free account screen will appear. You will then be prompted to choose a password for the user.

    The Email and First and last name fields will be pre-populated.

  4. Once the details are submitted, Lyrebird creates the account and links it to the API key assigned by Bp Premier.

  5. The user is will then be logged in and see the Lyrebird home page. On subsequent launches, users are logged in automatically, without needing to re-enter their details.
