Set up Bp Premier for Best Practice Mobile

Follow these instructions to configure Bp Premier before downloading Best Practice Mobile.

IMPORTANT   Availability of Best Practice Mobile is dependent on a stable connection to Bp Premier. Interruptions will occur if your Bp Premier server is disconnected from the internet, shut down, suspended, or enters sleep mode.

Workstation Requirements

Best Practice Mobile integrates with the latest supported version of Bp Premier.

Must be a Bp Premier customer running a non-evaluation installation.

Recommended to be running version Spectra SP1 Revision 2 (version 1.13.0.1080) and above.

Workstations

Windows operating system Windows 10 or higher.

Support for Windows 10 will end October 2025. Update to Windows 11 prior to this date to avoid interruption to functionality.

Server

Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and higher.

Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher.

Connect Bp Premier to Cloud Services

Bp Cloud Connector software is a core component of Bp Premier that supports access to Best Practice Mobile.

Best Practice Mobile is only available to General Practitioners.

Password

User passwords must be between 8 and 20 characters, contain no spaces, have at least 1 numerical digit, and contain at least 1 special character (!@#$%^&*).

Enable strong passwords

Best Practice Mobile will use your Bp Premier password when logging in and authenticating your details.

Enable strong password complexity settings in Bp Premier to match the minimum requirements for Best Practice Mobile. Passwords complexity can be set at a practice level or per user.

For online access, passwords must be between 8 and 20 characters, contain no spaces, have at least 1 numerical digit, and contain at least 1 special character (!@#$%^&*).

Enable Clinical Staff Permissions in Bp Premier

Clinical staff permissions in Bp Premier are required for the safe and effective use of Best Practice Mobile, and allow important functionality, such as:

  • The Clinical record – Allow access permission is required for providers to view clinical information in the single patient view.
  • The Correspondence in – Add / Edit / Delete permission is required to upload images to the patient record.

IMPORTANT   All Clinical staff permissions in Bp Premier are required for Bp Mobile users.
